Catherine Martineau and Fred Charpie participated in Van Wert County's Annual Entrepeneurship Fair on February 20, 2010 in Van Wert, Ohio.  The event provided helpful information for people who desire to start their own businesses but are unsure of where to begin.

Catherine was a featured speaker on the subject "Analysis of Entrepeneurship Opportunities in Van Wert County."  Other speakers addressed topics such as "What is Entrepeneurship?," "The Business of Social Media," "Starting a Business - What's First?" and financial aspects of starting a business.  The keynote speaker was Aaron Miesse, an accomplished entrepeneur and company startup specialist.

Fred and Catherine also provided useful information for entrepeneurs about patents, trademarks, and copyrights.  They displayed some of the patents owned by northwest Ohio companies and individuals.  Other participants at the fair included the Wright State University Business Enterprise Center, The Ohio State University Economic Development Office, the Treasurer of the State of Ohio who presented information about financing startup companies, worker training network SkillsTrac, and venture capital organization Rocket Ventures.
