In its ongoing effort to reach out to the Toledo community, the Intellectual Property Law Committee of the Toledo Bar Association presented a seminar entitled "Entrepreneurial Tools for Business Development" to members of the University of Toledo Alumni Association's Engineering Affiliate on December 1. MST's Jim Duggan and Greg Robinette spoke about patents and the patent application process, and the value of patents to business.
Larry Meyer discussed copyright law and Dave Purdue talked about trademarks. Dave Dorner wrapped up the seminar with a discussion of services and funding opportunities available through Rocket Ventures and other Ohio entities.
The seminar was attended by about 40 professional engineers. Robin Whitney, a member of the Engineering Affiliate, coordinated the seminar and said that she received positive feedback from the attendees.
